Travel Classes in Aegean Airlines

Aegean Airlines operates on a model with two classes of service — Economy and Business.

Economy Class

Customers onboard the Economy Class receive comfort and decent service during their journey. The seats are made of genuine leather, the seatbacks easily take a comfortable position, and the row spacing of 76 cm gives extra legroom. All passengers can enjoy the Aegean STREAM onboard entertainment system with a wide range of movies and entertainment programs during the flight. Clients are offered cold snacks, and a hot menu with a wide range of soft drinks, coffee, and tea on long-haul flights. Passengers wishing to improve their stay on board can purchase seats for an additional fee in the front rows of the cabin or the emergency row.

Business Class

For Business Class passengers, there is a separate check-in counter, a faster passage of formalities at the airport, and priority boarding. Customers can use the services of business lounges to wait for a departure after passing customs control. The luxurious cabin offers passengers a high level of service: wide seats, with a 3x3 cabin layout in a row, the middle seat always remains free, which gives more privacy and personal space. The Aegean STREAM entertainment system is available for passengers via personal electronic devices. Each Business Class customer is greeted with a welcome drink onboard and a wide selection of snacks, hot meals, and gourmet alcoholic beverages throughout the journey.

Baggage and carry-on baggage in Aegean Airlines

The number of baggage items and carry-on luggage on Aegean Airlines flights depends on the travel class and fare paid. The size of hand baggage may not exceed 56 x 45 x 25 cm, as the bag or suitcase must fit into the compartment above the passenger seat. The checked-in luggage must not exceed 158 cm in total in three dimensions. In case of exceeding the permitted dimensions and weight, the passenger will be charged accordingly to the airline's fare.

Carry-on baggage:

  • Economy Class — one piece weighing up to 8 kg, the sum of three measurements — 126 cm;
  • Business Class — one piece weighing up to 13 kg, sum of three measurements — 126 cm.

Checked-in baggage:

  • Economy Class GoLight fare — no luggage allowance;
  • Economy Class Flex fare — one piece up to 23 kg;
  • Business Class — two pieces of luggage, each weighing up to 32 kg.

Excess baggage

If the main luggage, its size, and weight are exceeded, it automatically becomes excess baggage and is subject to payment according to the carrier's fares. Such baggage can be paid for at the time of booking, online, or at least two hours before the flight at the airport at the airline's counter.

Flight Check-in with Aegean Airlines

You can pre-check-in for your flight 48 hours in advance in two ways: using the Aegean Airlines application on your smartphone or directly on the airline's website. An online check-in function is available at the airport through self-service booths.

Menus on board of Aegean Airlines

No later than 24 hours before a departure, passengers with particular meal preferences can order a special menu on the airline's website from the following list: religious, children's, fruit, gluten-free, vegetarian, etc. The full list of various special menus can be found on the Aegean Airlines website.

Flying with children with Aegean Airlines

The airline takes every effort to make travel with children as comfortable as possible. It is necessary to arrive at the airport no later than 2 hours before the departure of your flight and go to a special counter "Aegean for families." This will allow you to get on board first. Infants under two years of age are not granted a separate seat; children must be in the hands of one of their parents. One extra piece of hand luggage weighing up to 8 kg is allowed for infants, which may include baby food, diapers, blankets, and toys. Each small passenger is given a Junior pilot kit. Children of any age will be able to occupy themselves during the journey, and the flight will be a real adventure for them.

Loyalty Program with Aegean Airlines

For passengers who regularly use Aegean Airlines services, it is offered to join the three-tier Miles+Bonus program. Miles for each flight are collected in a personal account. Bonuses can be used when planning your future trip: to upgrade the travel class, book a hotel, rent a car. The higher your membership status, the more privileges and unique benefits a program member receives.
