Ayers Rock is in central Australia. The cliff has a second name, Uluru and is located 340 km southwest of Alice Springs. Ayers Rock Resort is 20 km away, with various options for tourist accommodation, as well as Ayers Rock Airport. The monolithic stone block of orange-brown is the remains of a mountain massif that was located there many hundreds of years ago. Today, many tourists from all over the world come to admire this fantastic natural phenomenon. Even though in late October 2019, the country's government prohibited tourists from climbing the rock formation, it is worth walking in its surroundings, admiring extraordinary, indeed Martian scenery, and taking stunning pictures. The area is also ideal for observing the stars because there are no big city lights nearby.
