Wattens is a small settlement in the west of Austria (the federal state of Tyrol). Its population is about ten thousand people. There are several fascinating museums in Wattens. One of them is the Typewriter Museum. There are several hundred antique pieces on display. A visit to the Museum of the City's History will also be informative. It can be complemented by a visit to the prehistoric settlement of Wattens. You'll learn about how people lived here 2,000 years ago and enjoy the fantastic scenery of the green valley. Children will find it interesting to visit the Legends Park (an open-air sculpture exhibition on mythology). While in Wattens, one cannot ignore the Swarovski Crystal Worlds, Austria's second most popular museum. It was opened in 1995, to mark the 100th anniversary of the famous company, on the site of the first factory of Daniel Swarovski. You will test your might in a tangled labyrinth, visit the world's largest store of Swarovski crystals and take part in an exhibition for collectors. There is a restaurant on the museum's premises.
