Dhaka

Dhaka is in central Bangladesh. It used to be the principal city of Bengal. Since 1971, Dhaka has been the capital of Bangladesh and the most populous metropolis in the country. You can dare to call Dhaka a city of extremes. Here, wild poverty and incomparable luxury, disgusting slums, luxurious palaces, and modern high-rise buildings are intertwined. The city is vibrant, diverse, noisy, and unusually colorful. Tourists should see the Shaheed Minar, a monument in the central part of the town in honor of the protesters who died in 1952, visit the famous Dhakeshwari — the largest Hindu temple in the country, see the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, the oldest mosque in the region Binat Bibi, constructed in the XV century, one of the oldest buildings in the city, visit the National Museum of Bangladesh.
