The government of the Indian state of Goa will strengthen the development of ecotourism in state forests and forest parks. As part of this project, there are plans to improve infrastructure in all wildlife parks. Safe camping areas and hiking trails will also be created. The list consists of six state wildlife refuges located in Goa:
- Bhagwan Mahavir with its component Mollem National Park;
- Bondla;
- Mhadei;
- Cotigao;
- Netravali;
- Salim Ali Bird Park.
From mid-June to October, Goa is in its rainy season. During this period, the trip can only be recommended to those who plan to observe the life of reptiles and amphibians.
