The city with architecture unusual to Canada

St. John's

St. John's is an administrative, economical, and cultural center of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador on the eastern tip of the Canadian island Newfoundland. This North America's oldest settlement is notable for its unique architecture. In the 1970s, old colonial houses were painted in bright contrast colors. The concept of Jellybean Row Houses made port and fishing city extremely popular and promoted tourist boom. Another symbol of St.John's is Cabot Tower on Signal Hill overlooking the harbor and the city. Cultural facility "The Rooms" accommodates the Art Gallery of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Provincial Archives. There are two cathedrals of the 19th century in St. John's, and both are dedicated to St. John the Baptist — Roman Catholic Basilica and Anglican Cathedral.
