The most English-like city in Canada

A walk through the Butchart Gardens, pubs and tea parties

Victoria

Victoria is Canada's most "English" city. Travelers here have the feeling that they have miraculously "crossed" the ocean and found themselves on an island of fogs and traditions. In Victoria, as in London, there is an opportunity to ride on red double-decker buses, and hang out in one of the typical English pubs in the central part of the city, or walk in cute and British prim shops. The well-groomed waterfront attracts both tourists and city residents. You can stroll along it, check out the old Empress Hotel. You can also visit it at five o'clock in the afternoon to taste traditional English tea and cakes. The city is located in the southwest of Canada, on Vancouver Island. There is a group of the Butchart Gardens botanical gardens with a stunning collection of plants on 22 hectares near the city.
