Kunming
Kunming is located at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level. The city is situated in the southwestern part of China, in Yunnan province. There is never excessively hot weather, so Kunming is called the "City of Eternal Spring." For tourists, in addition to a pleasant climate, there are many attractions. You should visit the Yantongsi Temple, which is considered one of the main centers of Yunnan Buddhism. It is also worth a visit to the Qiongzhu (Bamboo) Temple. It was erected in 639, and some restructuring was carried out in the 15th century. A gallery of 500 arhats attracts attention in the temple. Definitely worth a look at the famous Tang pagodas. Both the West and East pagodas were built in the first half of the 9th century. The eastern pagoda was destroyed by the earthquake in 1833. It was restored only after 49 years. Take a walk in the 17th century Daguan Park.
