Cali
Cali is in the west of Colombia. Today, the city, founded in the XVI century, is the third most populous in the country. It offers many historical and architectural monuments. Tourists visit the Church and Convent of Our Lady of Mercy (Iglesia de La Merced) of the XVII century — the oldest sacral building of the city. It's also worth seeing the church of Iglesia de San Antonio on the hill near the central part of Cali and Plaza de Toros Cañaveralejo — the arena for bullfighting. Modern architecture is represented by a skyscraper that is the 3rd highest in the country and was built in 1978, the 185-meter Tower of Cali. It is worth visiting some museums. An archaeological museum has an impressive collection of artifacts of the pre-Columbian era, the museums of gold, modern art, natural history, and sugar cane. There is a zoo in the city, and there is also a large number of salsa halls — salsoteca.
