East Timor
East Timor is a country in Southeast Asia, occupying the island of Timor with Indonesia. The state gained its independence from Indonesia only in 2002. The capital is the city of Dili. East Timor is not well-treated by tourists, and this is not surprising. The infrastructure is not very developed here, prices are inflated compared to neighboring countries, and the crime rate is high. One of the country's symbols is a 27-meter statue of Jesus Christ, presented by the Indonesians. There is a beautiful view of the coast and Dili near it. In autumn in East Timor, you can observe the migration of dolphins and whales. It is worth mentioning diving off the coast, where you can find sharks and barracuda in addition to the usual corals. On the deserted Jaco Island, you can feel like a discoverer walking through the pristine jungles and pristine beaches.
