Bremen
At first glance, the bustling and business-like city in the north of Germany is not the most obvious choice for a holiday destination. But it's only the first and not the longest impression. Bremen, situated on both banks of the Weser River (with its swamps, beer shops, and proud merchant's past), is not a romantic knight in tragic shining armor, but rather a merchant. Besides, the merchant is wealthy, rouge, and hospitable! This place will be right for those who appreciate good food, cozy streets, and authentic buildings. There is no entertainment "just for tourists." You can see the monuments just while walking around the city. And the local citizens will gladly come to the Freimarkt, which is considered to be the oldest fair in all of Germany and is held in October. If you describe Bremen in three words, it is authenticity, energy, and comfort. And yes, you will undoubtedly find a monument to the renowned musicians here!
