Nagoya
Nagoya is in Japan, on Honshu Island. The city is located between the two capitals of the country — ancient Kyoto and modern Tokyo. It is the fourth-largest in Japan in terms of population. Historically, the city is known for being the main residence of one of the branches of the Tokugawa Samurai clan, who were relatives of the Shoguns who actually had ruled feudal Japan for centuries. Today tourists can visit the miraculously extant area of the white walls, where samurai of this clan lived in ancient times. It is convenient to do this on the way from the Tokugawa Art Museum to the Noritake Garden, where you can visit the museum of locally produced ceramics. It is also worth visiting numerous temples and Nagoya Castle, the city's trademark, to climb the observation deck Sky Promenade, which is located in a skyscraper on Midland Square.
