Tagbilaran City
Tagbilaran is the largest city and administrative center of the Philippine province of Bohol. Located in the southwestern part of the Bohol island, Tagbilaran and its surroundings have many attractions that may interest tourists. First of all, they include the so-called “chocolate” hills. Nearly one and a half thousand hills covered with green grass are concentrated on an area of 50 square meters. During the dry season, the grass changes color, thereby getting such an unusual name. At the same time, this geological phenomenon is proposed for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The botanical garden of the city is known for its collection of butterflies. Besides, the city provides the opportunity to visit the beautiful Lahos-Lahos Cave that has a flowing stream. Architectural attractions of the city are mainly presented by ancient churches of the era of colonization.
