Bovec
Bovec is a town in the west of Slovenia in the Soca River valley. It is located below the slopes of Mount Kanin, close to the border with Austria and Italy. You can easily get to Triglav National Park from here. A ski resort of the same name is situated above the town on a mountainside. It boasts of the highest ski slopes in Slovenia (2000 m). Due to the diversity of landscape, 15 pistes of various levels of difficulty are available. Bovets is famous among snowboarders and fans of adventure tourism. The latter can enjoy paragliding, ice-climbing on the frozen waterfalls, rafting, and canyoning. The architecture of the ancient town resembles Alpine village. You can find a lot of great cafes and restaurants to try delicious and nutritious Slovenian cuisine. There is a recreation center for children there.
