Trabzon
In the early days, this city gave an indelible impression on travelers with its luxury and magnificent temples and palaces. Nowadays, at first sight, it is just a large commercial port. But when strolling along the streets of modern Trabzon, a traveler will constantly encounter evidences of the past grandeur of the Byzantine era. The city is located at the foot of naturally beautiful, woody Karadağ mountains in the eastern part of the Black Sea coast of Turkey.
