The Bournemouth Aquarium is located in the popular resort-town called Bournemouth in Great Britain. Here visitors can admire the life of marine residents in conditions which hardly differ from their natural habitat.

Bournemouth Aquarium - What to see?

This aquarium is divided into several parts. One of its part which is known for its name “Amazon”, tells its visitors about the animals and their lives in one of the biggest rivers on the planet - the Ganges. There’s also a special hall with an exhibition devoted to the overall information about this river.

“Great Barrier Reef” is another part of the Bournemouth Aquarium. It’s a huge aquarium with the most colorful, extraordinary and the brightest sea fishes. Tourists especially love the aquarium where they can observe the life of the deepsea fish. In addition to that, there’s a separate aquarium with marine citizens from Africa.

The most popular place among the visitors is the aquarium called “Otter Oasis”. Here you can find several couples of Asian small-clawed otters which are the smallest in the world. For many people, it’s pretty weird to observe these mammalian species in the oceanarium. However, both children and adults do really enjoy observing the behavior of these active and funny creatures.

Virtual diving

Bournemouth oceanarium is the first to have used the virtual interactive diver cage. Each guest can virtually dive into the deep waters of the sea and admire sharks, dolphins, rays and other marine residents. This virtual adventure has an extraordinary ending. There’s an illusion as if the huge blue whale swallows the cage with the visitors. They happen to appear inside the whale’s body and manage to see all of his organs. And if you want to swim in a real ocean, head to Hengistbury Head headland. There you can enjoy an excellent day by the beach, explore the area which is used as a place for archeological digs.
