Windermere

Windermere is a small resort town in the northwest of England. It is located 1.5 kilometers away from Lake Windermere. The water body is situated on the territory of the Lake District National Park. Windermere is one of the 16 lakes in the park and the largest freshwater body in England. Today its waters attract many tourists, as rumors have it that a mysterious prehistoric monster lives here. The depth of the lake is 67 meters, so English "Nessie" has a place to hide from the eyes of the audience who came to take a historical picture. You can go water skiing, boating, fishing in the lake surrounded by wonderful scenery. The neighborhoods of the town and the lake are suitable for hiking or horseback riding, as well as golfing. The lake is accessible by ferry, which operates regular trips from Hawkshead to Bowness.
