Austin

Austin is the capital of Texas, the second-largest and most populous state in the country. The city is located in the south of the United States. Its name commemorates Stephen Austin, who stood at the origins of independent Texas. It is home to one of the largest universities in the country, the University of Texas. Austin can boast of plenty of museums and attractions. The Texas Capitol Building is considered to be a popular tourist destination. You should also visit the Driskill Hotel, which is older than the Capitol (constructed in 1886). In Austin, you'll find the library a museum of US President Lyndon Baines Johnson and the house-museum of the writer O. Henry. There are extraordinary sculptures throughout the city, and visitors of the state capital love them. Every evening starting from March, you can watch bats that have found shelter under the Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue Bridge go hunting. The spectacle gathers crowds of tourists.
